Klarity Alternating Pressure Anti-bedsore Air Mattress System
· Klarity offers a comprehensive range of alternating pressure mattress replacements, mattress overlay and seating solutions to provide effective pressure redistribution and optimum user comfort across all care environments.
· Market drivers are increasing geriatric population, increasing disabilities resulting from various lifestyle diseases, government policies and legislations promoting the use medical aid equipment and high cost for prolonged hospital stay.
· Generally, pressure ulcers occur when a person is in a sitting or lying position for too long without shifting weight. The constant pressure against the skin decreases blood supply to that area. Tissue is deprived of oxygen and other nutrients, and the affected tissue dies.
· Pressure relief is used to reduce and minimize the risk of pressure ulcers. Changing position often is the key to pressure care management, but most people at risk are unable to change position on theirown, and must rely on a caregiver to help.
· This is why specialized support surfaces are vital - special cushions and mattresses that help protect vulnerable areas or relieve pressureon an existing ulcer. Dynamic mattresses offer patients and caregiver one of the most effective and trusted pressure managementsolutions.
· Products are made up of interconnected air cells that cyclically inflate and deflate to periodically apply and remove pressure from the skin's surface.
8-inch alternating pressure mattress system
A full alternating pressure mattress replacement system for users at medium to high risk of pressure injury, the Air wave 8 offers superior functionality, enhanced comfort and optimum infection control. Increased cell depth makes the system well suited to the heavier patient. An effective pressure care solution when used in conjunction with a comprehensive pressure prevention strategy.
Key features
- Ideal for the heavier patient at medium to high risk
- Control unit microcomputer program control, easy to achieve a variety of functions
- Automatic analysis of weight and pressure changes to achieve low pressure comfort
- Noise below 25 dB of control unit, to avoid interference for patient
- Double chamber design of 8inch cell, deep 200 mm cells to prevent 'bottoming out'
- The alternating mode can be adjusted for the inflation and deflation operations every 5,10,15 or 20 minutes.
- Rapid release CPR tag for emergency deflation
- Vapour permeable, waterproof top cover with multi stretch fabric to minimise friction and reduce shear
- Maximum infection control including welded seams, antibacterial taping and full length waterfall skirt

Press again for at least three seconds to unlock (beep sounds and amber LED turns off).
C. Alternating Mode
Press to Alternating Mode button, Current mode will automatically switch to alternate mode, And the alternating weight value will automatically set to the weight mode as last time.
D. Auto Dual Mode
Allows the alternating mode and the static mode to be automatically engaged every hour alternately so as to
enhance it is versatility.
E. Static Mode
That puts the entire mattress in a static without alternation.
The power unit automatically provides a different static pressure value according to the existing altered weight setting.
F. Seat Mode
The bed match mattress system to adjusts the seat angle,
the air mattress will automatically switch to most comfortable seated pressure modes.
G. Nursing Mode
This can harden the mattress in the quickest way for easy nursing. However, after 30 minutes, the unit will forcefully resume the setting before the button is passed in order to protect the patient form the risk of developing pressure ulcers because the mattress becomes too hard.
A, B two zone simultaneously inflated, maximum pressure not more than 60mmHg, not less than 55mmHg
In the absence of other operations, 30 minutes after entering the alternate mode, the pressure returned to the nursing mode before
H. Sleep Mode
Sleep mode function is to help patients better rest, Press the sleep mode button, the operation mode automatically switch to comfortable static mode according to program pressure setting.
When weight setting is less than 75Kg, pressure is set at 36mmHg+/-5mmHg.
When weight setting is greater than 75Kg, pressure is set at 42mmHg+/-5mmHg.
In the absence of other operations, 420 minutes after entering the alternating mode, the pressure returned to the digital tube weight set corresponding pressure.
I. Alternating Mode Cycle Time
The alternating mode can be adjusted for the inflation and deflation operations every 5,10,15 or 20 minutes.
J. Weight Setting Mode
Provides the suitable alternating pressure automatically for the use according to the user's
weight. The mattress system will provide one of the most comfortable pressure mode for user's
K. Reset Alarm (Mute Alarm)
Control unit alarm due to various reasons, press the reset button to return previous model If alarm failure is excluded.
Low pressure alarm: provides notification to the nurse that the air mattress has malfunction that needs to be solved as soon as possible.
Power failure alarm: provides notification when the mains power that supplies power to the unit has an abnormal power failure or the power cord is tripped off accidentally, the indicator will be lit and an alarm sound will be exerted.
